MISSION
To facilitate equal employment opportunities to the province's constituents through Job Matching and Coaching, employability enhancement and referrals for livelihood or training, and promotion of industrial peace through tripartism.
VISION
Creating the Province of Bulacan as a Province that provides reliable and sustainable employment facilitation services that contribute to poverty alleviation and economic development in commitment and accordance with the People's Agenda 10.
MANDATE
Public Employment Service Office or PESO is a non-fee charging multi-employment service facility or entity established or accredited pursuant to Republic Act No. 8759 otherwise known as the PESO Act of 1999.
About PPESO
The Public Employment Service Office or PESO is a non-fee charging multi-employment service facility or entity established or accredited pursuant to Republic Act No. 8759 otherwise known as the PESO Act of 1999.
To carry out full employment and equality of employment opportunities for all, and for this purpose, to strengthen and expand the existing employment facilitation service machinery of the government particularly at the local levels there shall be established in all capital towns of provinces, key cities, and other strategic areas a Public Employment Service Office, Hereinafter referred to as PESO, which shall be community-based and maintained largely by local government units (LGUs) and a number of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) or community-based organizations (CBOs) and state universities and colleges (SUCs). The PESOs shall be linked to the regional offices of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) for coordination and technical supervision, and to the DOLE central office, to constitute the national employment service network.
- Ensure prompt and efficient delivery of employment facilitation services and provision of timely information on labor market, programs and projects of the Province of Bulacan and services and programs of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE);
- Encourage and coordinate with employers to submit to the PPESO on a regular basis a list of job vacancies in their respective establishments and companies in order to facilitate the exchange of labor market information services to job seekers and employers, for both local and overseas employment, and recruitment assistance to employers;
- Provide access to the various livelihood and self-employment programs offered by both government and non-governmental organizations at the provincial/city/municipal/barangay levels by undertaking referrals for such programs;
- Conduct pre-employment counseling and orientation to prospective local and overseas workers;
- Provide reintegration assistance services to returning Filipino migrant workers;
- Network with other LGUs on employment for job exchange purpose;
- Ensure that all individuals are treated equally and have equal opportunities for employment and advancement, regardless of their race, gender, age, religion, disability, or any other characteristic protected by law; and
- Perform such other duties and functions as may be prescribed by law or ordinance.
